A topical review of systems technology in the manufacturing enterprise. The emphasis is on understanding how information is acquired and processed in manufacturing operations. Automatic Identification/Data Acquisition techniques such as one and two dimensional bar code are considered. Manufacturing Resource Planning and Product Data Management is reviewed.
