EDU 501 Integration of the Arts in Content Curricula

Emphasizes integration of content across disciplines. Focus is on integrating visual and performing arts across the program. Developing content relevancy through creative crossdisciplinary relationships is stressed. There is a section of this course that uses the arts to foster volunteerism in schools. Through the use of ideas developed in this course, teachers are able to encourage students to develop a greater sense of self through the arts and through volunteerism in their schools and neighborhoods, thus creating a more aesthetically pleasing environment. | 3 | 0 | 0 | | |
