Roxana Bell joins Detroit Mercy Law after teaching legal communication and analysis as a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor of Law at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law for the past two years. Before becoming a law professor, Bell practiced labor and employment law at Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP in Indianapolis. She focused her practice on discrimination defense and general employment and workplace policies. Bell launched her legal career by completing two consecutive clerkships with the Honorable Jane E. Magnus-Stinson of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and the Honorable Rudolph R. Pyle III of the Court of Appeals of Indiana.
An active member in legal organizations, Bell is a graduate of Class XII of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Bar Leaders Series and was a 2014-2016 Fellow of the American Bar Association’s Section of Labor & Employment. In 2015, she received the Indiana Lawyer’s Leadership in Law Up & Coming Award. She currently serves as Chair of the National Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and is the former President of the Marion County Bar Association.
