Professor Ankers is the longtime and current chair of the litigation department of the law firm Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn L.L.P., where he has practiced and tried complex commercial cases for more than 30 years. Professor Ankers became a member of the adjunct faculty of the University of Detroit Mercy Law School in 2005, where he has taught Conflict of Laws, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Evidence, and was named the Outstanding Adjunct Professor for the Fall 2006 term. He is the coauthor of West Publishing Company’s multivolume treatise Michigan Court Rules Annotated – Evidence (1996).
