Professor Eileen Jaramillo's ministry as a canon lawyer is diverse. She served as a judge in the tribunal in Catholic Diocese of Columbus, Ohio from 1991-1997 and the Diocese of Lansing, Michigan from 1997-2015. She has taught courses in canon law for Loyola University and the Ecumenical Theological Seminary as well as serving as a guest lecturer at Michigan State University College of Law. She has been a member of the Canon Law Society of America since 1990 and was elected to its Board of Governors in 2006. At the current time she teaches canon law to lay ecclesial ministers and men studying for the permanent diaconate in the Siena Heights University Theological Program. She is also a canonical consultant to religious communities and bishops around the world. Her publications have appeared in numerous journals. Evolving Into A Vibrant Religious Institute, a book she published in 2014, has made its way into 104 countries.
