Belinda Evans Ebio, is an instructor in the Social Work Department and serves in the capacity of Field Coordinator. She joined the University as an adjunct instructor in 2012. She holds a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. In addition, Evans Ebio is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), both Clinical and Macro, in the State of Michigan.

Evans Ebio has more than 20 years teaching experience at the college and university levels as an adjunct faculty member at Wayne County Community College District and University of Detroit Mercy. She has taught social work, human services, addiction studies and mental health courses. In addition, Evans Ebio has team-taught social work courses at Madonna University. Moreover, she has served as a field instructor at Wayne State University, Madonna University, Eastern Michigan University and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Evans Ebio has more than 35 years of professional administrative and clinical experience with both nonprofit and for-profit human and social service entities, serving impoverished and vulnerable children, adults and families in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Furthermore, she has served as president/CEO of a nonprofit agency in Detroit and consultant to Michigan’s largest Community Mental Health Authority.

She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has previously held positions of board member, member of the delegate Assembly and vice president for social policy at the Michigan chapter level.
