Biography
Retired Associate Professor of Political Science,
Donald Burkholder now serves as the University's Truman Scholarship representative and is a labor arbitrator and fact-finder primarily in disputes between local or state government and public employee labor organizations. His research interests include dispute resolution, organizational change, and structural-behavioral similarities between consolidating governmental units and institutions of higher education. Burkholder holds a B.A. degree from the University of Maryland, an M.A. degree from Kent State University and a Ph.D. degree from Wayne State University. He joined Detroit Mercy in 1976.
