Allison Bohn

Allison Bohn has studied English literature and Creative Writing since 2007 with a focus on Feminist and Queer theories and Sylvia Plath. She has been teaching First-Year Writing after receiving her M.A. in 2014. Her classes not only focus on academic writing and audience analysis but how to be a successful and well-rounded college student. The lessons and assignments are student focused and tailored to fit a student's individual interests and needs. Bohn graduated with a B.A. from University of Detroit Mercy in 2011 and is excited to be back in the English Department!

Bohn is also an avid writer and has been published in several literary magazines as well as presented at several conferences including The Walt Whitman International Conference in Summer 2019 on a piece that focused on Whitman's 1855 Song of Myself and Allen Ginsberg's A Supermarket in California. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her dog, reading, and catching up on Hulu.
