Billy Myers graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI where he studied Instrumental Music Education and Theology. Billy plays the saxophone and is always looking for ways to use music to reach out to his community. At. St. Norbert he was in Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Saxophone Ensemble, and Bell Choir. Furthermore he founded the St. Norbert Klezmer Ensemble, a student organization which performed and learned about Jewish music and culture. That group went on a tour playing at local schools in the Green Bay area to promote Klezmer music.

Billy was very involved in the music department, but also enjoyed being involved in the theology department. Through his study of theology Billy learned about the importance of serving others. He had many great theology professors at St. Norbert that helped to foster his growth in theology. Then when he went on service trips to both Little Rock, Arkansas and Chicago, Illinois he was able to connect the theological issues discussed in class to those suffering in the world. Billy has always felt the most close to God when he is serving others.

He is looking forward to meeting everyone at Detroit Mercy and growing in his faith. In his free time Billy loves to read, he enjoys composing music, and he likes to watch or play basketball!
