A team of three business students earned high marks — including a first place — in the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition hosted by Loyola Marymount University in April.

Laura Burdinie, Paul Formosa and Annie Acho-Tartoni, competing under the team name Loyola & McAuley LLC, won Detroit Mercy’s internal PRIME Center Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Challenge and earned the right to participate at Loyola Marymount. The competition consists of 25-minute, 10-minute and 90-second presentation on a case related to one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The Detroit Mercy students presented on Ethical Leadership and Apple and earned first place for their 90-second presentation and runner up for their 25-minute presentation.

Participants included 22 student teams from 17 colleges and universities from four countries.
