Workwear brand outfits future essential workers at Detroit Mercy to celebrate Nurses Week

To show its appreciation for essential workers just entering their profession, Carhartt and CID have donated 336 pairs of scrubs to the graduating class of Detroit Mercy’s College of Health Professions & McAuley School of Nursing.

Each graduate will receive two scrub sets with the total donation valued at approximately $16,800. While this year’s ceremony is virtual, Detroit Mercy graduates will be able to celebrate their accomplishments with new sets of durable scrubs.

Over the past year, nurses all over the country have sacrificed, endured and persevered, giving everything they have to their profession and patients as the COVID-19 pandemic hit our country. That’s why during Nurses Week 2021, Carhartt and its licensing partner, CID Resources, are recognizing the hard work and bravery of the next generation of nurses.
