Urban Gardening at Oakland Avenue Urban Farm

Oakland Avenue Urban Farm

Campus Kitchen is co-hosting a group of volunteers at Oakland Avenue Urban Farm in the North End neighborhood. Transportation is provided for this event. Meet in front of the Fitness Center.

This service opportunity is coordinated by students leader Taylor Topolski and Tayler Curry, as part of a Ford Community Corps Partners project that twelve different opportunities to volunteer at six urban farms and gardens in Detroit this semester. Volunteers will perform light agricultural work and participate in a reflection and discussion. Expect to work outside in rain or shine. Closed toe shoes, attire appropriate for doing physical work outside in rain or shine, a water bottle, and a positive attitude.
