Registration Holds

Students who have any type of academic or financial hold on their account need to get clearances before they can register. Registration through UDM WebLink is not available to anyone who has a hold. Registrations with clearances can be processed in the Office of the Registrar.

The most common causes of holds are:

• Balance owed for current or prior semester
• Failure to return library materials or fines
• Failure to pay UDM parking fines
• Admittance under Unclassified Status
• Equipment owed to the Athletic Department
• Failure to meet terms and conditions of academic probation
• Academic dismissal
• Student Health Center missing medical information

Financial holds including library fines and parking fines may be cleared in the Student Accounting Office.

Academic holds may be cleared by the college/school offices, and paperwork needs to be brought to the Office of the Registrar.

* Please note that sometimes it is possible to register for classes while you are in the process of paying off a balance from a prior semester. Please contact the Student Accounting Office to make arrangements.
