This spring, 12 students earned their Master of Community Development degree to support their efforts in creating more vibrant, sustainable communities.

For James Ribbron, a Detroit urban planner and 2008 MCD Program graduate, UDM's Community Development program met his needs and kept him "current on a lot of new ideas in planning."

"Having a Master of Community Development degree provides the opportunity to work on projects which are fulfilling and beneficial to the city," explains Ribbron. "The MCD Program helped us look at our community, assess it from every direction and devise new ways to compete in this global society."
