Approximately 70 posters were presented at the Second Annual UDM Faculty and Student Research Symposium and Poster Fair, April 15. Awards were presented to the best poster from each college/school. The posters were judged on the basis of scholarship and presentation. The School of Architecture award was presented to Assistant Professor of Architecture Allegra Pitera for "(R)evolutionary Communication: Digital Stories of Detroit."

UDM Professor of Architecture Anthony Martinico, currently a Fulbright scholar teaching at Warsaw University of Technology in Poland, gave the presentation, "Detroit and the problems of de-industrialization," at the Institute of Urban Planning at Cracow University of Technology (CUT), Dec. 6.
