CHP programs available on the east side

In January 2013, the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (HIM) will be offered at the Wayne County Community College District University Center in Harper Woods. The program, which began in September 2011, was jointly designed by the College of Health Professions and the College of Liberal Arts & Education. HIM incorporates the disciplines of medicine, management, finance, information science and law to prepare experts in the fast growing field of electronic health records. The program also has an articulation agreement with Macomb Community College, and was featured in an article in the August 12, 2012 issue of Crain’s Detroit Business.

The Wayne County Community College District University Center

The WCCCD location will offer five other UDM programs for the convenience of east side residents. The College of Health Professions also offers bachelor and master degree programs in Health Services Administration, a nursing degree completion program and a graduate degree in Nursing with a major in Health Systems Management at the Macomb University Center in Clinton Township, in addition to programs on its Detroit campuses and online.
