Save the date: Nurse Anesthesia's Senior Seminar and Anniversary Gala

Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 – Motor City Casino

The Nurse Anesthesia program has many reasons to celebrate in 2010-11. It's the program's 70th year and Mike Dosch's 20th year as program director. In addition, Dosch earned his Ph.D. in May 2010. So NA will start the year with a combination Senior Seminar and Anniversary Gala event, Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Motor City Casino.

During the day, the seminar will include a great group of presenters for continuing education credit (5 hours), lunch, and many interesting exhibits.

  • Caleb Rogovin, CRNA, of Temple University Hospital will speak on trauma and advanced cardiac care.
  • Nicholas Ochoa, CRNA, will present on anesthesia in developing countries.
  • Sheila Williamson, RNAS, will speak on anesthesia for robotic surgery.
  • Lindsey Megel, RNAS, will help improve your skills as a clinical educator.

In the evening, the UDM NA Anniversary Gala will feature dinner and dancing to live music. Each guest will receive a special program booklet containing pictures of our graduates going back as far as we have them. Check out the Facebook event page for a sneak peek. You can register for either or both events.

A block of rooms at a special room rate at the Motor City Casino has been secured for our guests. To make your reservation, call 866-STAY MCC (782-9622) and mention UDM to get the special rate.

Check the Senior Seminar page for more information and watch your mail for invitations in June.
