Sr. Charlotte is the recipient of CHP's 2010 Alumna of the Year Award in recognition of her commitment to students and to the advancement of the Sisters of Mercy health ministry.

A former Mercy College faculty member, Sr. Charlotte demonstrated a strong commitment to the success of her students. As an alumna, she has served on the Alumni Council for many years as an advocate for alumni and the School. To advance the health ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, Sr. Charlotte has served on numerous hospital boards in Michigan and Iowa. She currently sits on the boards of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital–Oakland and Mercy Hospital in Port Huron.

Sr. Charlotte has also given her time and support to community initiatives, including Mercy Education Project, which helps women and girls achieve their educational goals, and Angel's Place, which provides homes for adults with developmental disabilities. Through her educational and community endeavors, Sr. Charlotte truly reflects the College's mission in leading "individuals, families, and communities to optimal health and well-being."
