Submit Alumni of Year nominations
The Alumni Council of College of Health Professions at the University of Detroit Mercy is seeking nominations for Alumni of the Year Awards. Eligible candidates include UDM graduates from the College of Health Professions who work as nurses, nurse educators, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists, allied health professionals or health service administrators.
UDM graduates proudly serve throughout a variety of health delivery systems and strive to benefit the lives of others. If you know of one of these outstanding individuals and would like to nominate them for the award, please contact Nancy Dillon at dillonn@trinity-health.org. You can also download the nomination form (PDF). Nominations must be received by December 1, 2008.
The awards will be presented to a special graduate from each discipline during a ceremony in March 2009 on the UDM campus.

CHP Fundraiser benefits new medical simulation lab
The Alumni Council of the College of Health Professions raised more than $225 through a fundraiser to support the completion of an on-campus medical simulation lab. The project is designed to educate students enrolled in various patient-care programs.
The all-day fundraiser was held on Thursday, Oct. 9 at Max and Erma's in Birmingham. With a special ticket, diners were able to contribute 20 percent of their meal receipts to benefit the College's lab project.
