E&S female students excel in leadership roles

Programs designed to expose high school students to the benefits of an engineering and science career are helping UDM to increase the number of female students in the College of Engineering & Science.

The College has among the nation's highest percentage of female engineering students, with 32 percent of UDM's full-time undergraduate engineering students being female, compared to the national average of 17 percent.  UDM also ranks first in Michigan among engineering schools with the highest percentage of both female and minority enrollments.

Among students in the Class of 2008 are three noteworthy examples of female student leadership, as highlighted in the following articles. They are:
