CBA recognizes student excellence at Honors Convocation

The College of Business Administration's annual Honors Convocation was held March 29. Below is a list of the awards that were presented.

ACCOUNTING CERTIFICATE
A certificate is presented annually to graduating students in Accounting in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.

BETA ALPHA PSI AWARD

An award presented by Beta Gamma Sigma (Beta of Michigan Chapter) to a graduating member in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.

An award presented to the student selected by the Career Education Center for commitment to the goals of the cooperative education program and outstanding performance on co-op assignments.

DEAN'S LEADERSHIP KEY
A key is given annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership and involvement in University-approved co-curricular activities and, at the same time, has maintained overall academic excellence.

FINANCIAL EXECUTIVES INTERNATIONAL AWARD
Inscription of name on a plaque and recognition at a dinner meeting given by the Financial Executives International (Detroit Chapter) to an outstanding undergraduate student and an outstanding graduate student in Accounting and/or Finance.

FITZGERALD AWARD
An award is given each year in the name of Dr. Lloyd E. Fitzgerald, who was dean of the College of Commerce and Finance from 1935 to 1963, to the graduating Business Administration senior designated as having the optimum record of scholarship, student leadership, and service to the University.

LLOYD E. FITZGERALD ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
A plaque and a $3,000 scholarship presented to a non-traditional student who has demonstrated academic excellence in the College of Business Administration. This scholarship is made possible through the generosity and support of the Fitzgerald family.
