Ken Gonzalez '02, '06, chair of the Alumni Board's Alumni Week Committee, has participated in the week for four years and this year coordinated the classroom speakers. Says Gonzalez, "I was happy to see several speakers participating for the first time this year. It's an enjoyable way for us to build our networks and mentor students."

Indeed, camaraderie and personal contact are mentioned again and again as highlights of the week. One of the debut speakers, David Bean '80, notes, "I thought speaking to one of the classes here would be a great opportunity to return some of the knowledge that I got at the University. It is still a great place, still has small classes where students can interact with professors on a one-to-one basis."

Catherine Horan '97, says, "The Alumni Week Committee has grown the attendance and the excellence of speakers. The interaction between students and alumni is so worthwhile and so necessary."

Tony Belli '06, loves to visit the C & F building "because I feel so good when I walk in. I had such a great time being a graduate student. I get to come back and see professors and staff and relive that feeling of camaraderie."

Linda Miller '81, adds, "The opportunity to speak with alumni who have experience in the business world  is a very important part of education for the students. Alumni Week is always fabulous, and this year's event is better than ever. I am really thrilled to see how many alumni have spoken at classes."

Jim Kirby '92, chair of the Alumni Board, is grateful to everyone who helped put the event together. "We have 28 members who have become friends and share in the experience of giving back and I really enjoy it.
