Provide a legacy for the future – The Heritage Society
Many alumni support the University's mission through a planned gift in their estate plans. Their gifts have helped renovate facilities like the Commerce and Finance building, establish scholarships, and fund academic programs similar to our current Business Turnaround Management program. UDM created The Heritage Society to recognize those individuals who ensure excellence in education for future generations in this special way.
You can become a member of The Heritage Society by acknowledging to the University that you have included UDM in your estate plans. There are many different ways of doing this.
Several are:
- a simple bequest in your will
- making the University a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or IRA/retirement plan
- a gift annuity
- a charitable remainder or similar trust
A planned gift may be used to reduce your estate taxes, increase your income or that of your loved ones, or preserve a family asset for future generations among other things. It will provide you with the personal satisfaction of knowing that your gift is an important source of strength and growth that the University and the College of Business Administration can rely upon in the future.
You will be a sharing, as a partner, in the Jesuit and Mercy tradition of educational excellence.
