Stephen Vogel steps down as Architecture dean – After 18 years as Architecture dean, Stephen Vogel ’70, FAIA, stepped down from the position, May 14, though he will remain at the School as a full-time faculty member and will become the director of the Master of Community Development program in 2012.

Alumni share expertise with students during Annual Alumni Week – The College of Business Administration and its Alumni Board conducted its 13th annual Alumni Week, March 21-25. More than two dozen UDM business alumni visited classes and discussed their experiences in the business world with current UDM students. The keynote speaker was Laura Soave '00, head of Fiat Brand, North America.

College honors two exemplary alumni – The College of Engineering & Science honored the 2011 Engineering Alumna of the Year Evelyn Hirt ’75, principal engineer, Operational Systems Directorate at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and Science Alumnus of the Year, Michael Dudzik ’75, vice president for Science & Technology at Lockheed Martin Corporation, Washington Operations.
