Making the decision to pick up the phone and call is the first courageous step. Trust your inner self. Our lives are complex. Anyone can experience intense feelings of anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. The personal counseling office is an appropriate and safe place to express and explore your thoughts and feelings in the hopes of becoming more confident and competent with your personal and public relationships and your work.
If you are experiencing significant distress that persists over time, then making that appointment is a mature, responsible action to take for your health and well being.
Most likely, when you call you will initially get voice mail. These are private voice mail boxes. The counselors are the only ones who will be reviewing all calls. If your call is not returned within 24 hours during the work week, assume there is something wrong with the system and call back to leave another message.
