The IRIS Alert Service

The IRIS (Illinois Researcher Information Service) database of funding opportunities has been compiled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 1979. It currently contains records on over 7,700 federal and non-federal funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. The IRIS database is updated daily and is available in WWW and Telnet versions.
IRIS gives you the option of receiving an E-mail notice or they will set up a web site for you. They encourage you to opt for the web site option.
This is a service that the University subscribes to. In order to access the IRIS site you must be on a computer located on one of the University's campuses. This is an excellent source for all academic disciplines.
NSF Custom News
The National Science Foundation will set up a personal web page for you FREE. This page will contain announcements regarding funding opportunities that match your indicated interests. These announcements are linked to the program announcements for easy printing or downloading. They then give you the option for receiving an E-mail announcement when new information is posted to your web page. The OSPRA strongly recommends that you elect to take this option.
