Chronicle of Higher Education Grant Deadlines - Current information on deadlines for fellowships, grants, institutes and workshops, papers, and more taken from an extensive list of forthcoming deadlines that appears each week in The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Commerce Business Daily (CBD) - The CBD lists notices of proposed government procurement actions, contract awards, sales of government property, and other procurement information. Each notice appears in the print CBD only once. Notices stay "active" in this database for 15 days and are then moved to an "archived" database. Each notice is available as an ASCII text file. This database is updated continuously.
Council on Foundations - A nonprofit membership association of grant making foundations and corporations. The Council's mission is to promote responsible and effective philanthropy. In the last year of record, Council members contributed more than $5.9 billion for programs in such fields as education, human services, health, science and research, environment, the arts, urban planning and economic development.
Education Department Grants Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) - The administrative regulations governing the use of funds from the Education Department.
Federal Acquisition Jumpstation (via NASA) - This page is designed to provide the business community a central starting point to quickly access federal procurement documents and establishing a "single face" for federal acquisitions. At destinations linked from this page, you can retrieve acquisition forecasts, announcements of upcoming and current acquisitions, solicitations, small business assistance information, plus federal acquisition regulations.
Federal Express - Want to track that proposal you sent off in the eleventh hour via Federal Express to make sure it was received? This is a way to do it. Also some other neat stuff.
Research/Research - Formerly FEDIX/ScienceWise - An online database of U.S. funding opportunities.
Federal Information Center - This site can refer you to the resources that can help answer some of the most frequently asked questions handled by the FIC. Established in 1966, the FIC is a single point of contact for people who have questions about Federal agencies, programs, and services.
Federal Register - The Federal Register is the official publication for Presidential Documents and Executive Orders as well as Notices, Rules and Proposed Rules from Federal Agencies and Organizations. Another access site is at Purdue where their library has also set up a search engine.
FedWorld - The goal of NTIS FedWorld is to provide a one-stop location for the public to locate, order and have delivered to them, U.S. Government information.
The Foundation Center - An independent nonprofit information clearinghouse established in 1956. The Center's mission is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects.
Funding Opportunities via TRAM - This page provides you a list of links to foundations, research funding agencies, and other funding sources on the internet. You can search on solicitations, request for proposals, and program descriptions from various agencies. The data for the search engine is updated daily.
Government Printing Office (GPO) Access - The Federal Register, Congressional Record, Congressional Bills and other Federal Government information are available online via GPO Access, a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO).
Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS) - This is a subscription service and is only accessible by members of the UDM community from computers located on the UDM campuses. The IRIS database of funding opportunities has been compiled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 1979. It currently contains records on over 7,000 federal and nonfederal funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. The IRIS database is updated daily.
Index of LISTSERV Mail Groups - A nifty search engine for listserves.
Internet Nonprofit Center - The Internet NonProfit Center, indicates that they have information on more nonprofits than any other site in the world. Their library is a repository for publications, information and data about nonprofit organizations and the non profit sector, generally by sources other than the nonprofits themselves. Their Nonprofit Locator will help you find any charity in the U.S.
Library of Congress - The Library of Congress is using the World Wide Web (WWW) to present information about and materials from its collections over the Internet. Perform a search, find out what's new on the Library's Web Site or access any of the following categories of information: General Information and Publications; Events and Exhibits; Research and Collections Services; Copyright; Library of Congress Online Services; Government, Congress, and Law; Explore the Internet.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Substance Abuse Policy Research Program - The Substance Abuse Policy Research Program, funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, has been re-authorized for 3 years at $18 million. $6 million will be made available for grants in this third round of the program. The Foundation is accepting proposals for research projects that will produce policy relevant information about ways to reduce the harm caused by the use of tobacco,
alcohol, and illegal drugs in the United States.

In addition, Galaxy guest editors bring you their wide-ranging information and insight. Faculty from any college/school within the University will find areas of interest to them covered here.

Voice of the Shuttle for Humanities Research - An award winning site of humanities related links put together by Alan Liu of the University of California, Santa Barbara's English Department.
WWW Services for Historians - This site provides an extensive list of links to sites of interest to historians. The site belongs to the Association for History and Computing. The Association for History and Computing is an international organization which aims to promote and develop interest in the use of computers in all types of historical study at every level, in both teaching and research.
