The third GM Student Corps ends Wednesday, Aug. 19 as UDM student leaders, General Motors executives, GM retiree mentors and GM high student interns gather to celebrate their summer of community revitalization. For many students and retirees, though, it’s only the beginning of new relationships aimed at helping students develop the teamwork and leadership skills to continue their success.

University of Detroit Mercy has been designated a Gold-certified Michigan Veteran-Friendly School by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. The Michigan Veteran-Friendly School program is designed to formally recognize academic institutions of higher learning committed to supporting the needs of student veterans and dependents. The program promotes best practices by awarding Gold-, Silver- and Bronze-level status to institutions that offer veteran-centric services and programs.

University of Detroit Mercy School of Law is pleased to announce the founding of the Hon. Lawrence Paul Zatkoff Endowed Scholarship, made possible by the Zatkoff family, in memory of the late judge. This gift is the first million-dollar scholarship the law school has ever received, to date.
