Detroit Land Bank Authority Conducts Job Fair at UDM School of Law

University of Detroit Mercy School of Law is the venue host for a job fair to be conducted by the Detroit Land Bank Authority (DLBA) on Friday, May 30, 2014, from noon to 4 p.m. at the School’s Riverfront Campus, located at 651 East Jefferson Avenue in downtown Detroit. The DLBA will conduct open interviews to hire forty part-time Event Support Associates and four full-time Customer Service/Intake Support Staff Members. Applicants are asked to bring a copy of their resumé with them. Additional details about the positions may be found on the School of Law’s website at www.law.udmercy.edu.

UDM is excited to support the City of Detroit’s efforts to fight blight and partners with the City in many initiatives such as this to revitalize our hometown. For example, for the past decade, UDM law students have worked as interns for the City of Detroit Corporation Counsel’s office, 36th District Court judges, the Detroit City Council, the Detroit Public Schools Office of Labor Relations, and the City of Detroit Land Bank. Our students have gained valuable practical legal experience while being mentored by City of Detroit attorneys and judges who have passed on insights on how to practice law professionally and ethically.
