Ms. Wheelchair Michigan Overcomes Challenges

Nobody lives that statement more than Kelsey Kleimola, Ms. Wheelchair Michigan 2004, a 29-year-old women with celebral palsy and mother of two from Ypsilanti. She will be speaking on Thursday, April 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the College of Engineering and Science Building, Room #320 (McNichols) about overcoming challenges and how the assistive devices that UDM students made for her have helped her lead a full and productive life.
Kleimola will also talk to mechanical and electrical engineering students at UDM who may be able to help with other people’s needs. Moreover, with a communications degree and a journalism background, she hopes to write a book in the future. The event is free and open to the public.
