College of Business Administration and Beta Alpha Psi host Free Income Tax Assistance Clinics
The University of Detroit Mercy College of Business Administration and Alpha Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi are providing free income tax assistance to UDM students and area residents on three Saturdays this term: February 9, March 2, March 23, and April 6. On each of these dates the clinics will be open from 9 am until 3 pm in the Commerce and Finance building room 9 of UDM's McNichols Campus.
Students and neighborhood residents who have an annual household income of $51,000 or less qualify for this free face-to-face confidential income tax preparation and E-Filing.
All of the UDM accounting student and faculty volunteers have completed rigorous IRS training to prepare tax returns under the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Beta Alpha Psi, the honor society for accounting students, is moderated jointly by UDM professors Dr. Jeanne David and Dr. Rose Yang.
