UDM School of Architecture Hosts Career Day

University of Detroit Mercy School of Architecture is hosting a career day on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. in the Warren Lorranger Building on the McNichols campus. Prospective students and their parents will be able to learn about the many exciting career opportunities available in this dynamic profession.

The program will begin with a short reception at the Warren Lorranger School of Architecture Building. Stephen Vogel, FAIA, Dean of the School of Architecture will give a short address to the prospective students. Parents will then be taken on a campus tour while prospective students participate in a hands-on design project lead by faculty members.

A panel of professional architects of varying capacities, including building design, urban planning, interior architecture, construction administration and facilities management, will discuss their practice and current events in the field of architecture. A question and answer session will also be offered to address concerns or questions prospective students and their parents may have.

This program has proven invaluable to numerous students who have considered careers in architecture, as well as attendance at University of Detroit Mercy.
