U.S. News & World Report’s "2012-America’s Best Colleges” ranks UDM #23 in Top Tier

For the eleventh consecutive year, University of Detroit Mercy is listed in the top tier of Midwest Regional Universities in the 2012 edition of U.S.News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges."  With 146 schools ranked in UDM’s category, the University made the top 25 schools in its category (#23), one of the highest-ranking Michigan universities to make the list.

“We are very pleased that University of Detroit Mercy has once again been named one of the best universities by U.S.News & World Report,” said University of Detroit Mercy’s President, Dr. Antoine M. Garibaldi. “UDM’s Top 25 ranking among regional universities is a great tribute to our excellent faculty and staff who provide a well-rounded quality education to our students,” he added.

Highlights of the 2012 college rankings will be published in the September issue of U.S.News & World Report. The U.S. News college rankings group more than 1,400 accredited four-year schools based on categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and compares them based on a set of 15 widely accepted indicators of excellence.
