Kent State Architecture professor speaks at UDM

University of Detroit Mercy's School of Architecture will host a talk by Kent State Architecture and Design Professor Maurizio Sabini, PhD, Assoc. AIA on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the Genevieve Fisk Loranger Architecture Center on McNichols Campus. The event is sponsored by Hobbs and Black and is the sixth of seven lectures for the UDM School of Architecture.

Sabini earned his doctorate and undergraduate degrees from the Instituto Unversitario di Architettura di Venezia in Italy and a masters degree in architecture from State University New York Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo). With a background in 20th century theoretical issues in architecture, Sabini has written extensively on the subject and teaches seminars on architectural theory. The professor also instructs studio courses in architectural and urban design.

As a practicing architect, Sabini supervised Orchard School Playground Conversion and Fairview Park Charette in Cleveland, two of many of his service learning projects. He isÂ Â also the advisor for Tau Sigma Delta, Kent State's chapter of the Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts.
