University Of Detroit Mercy Students Play "Jeopardy" With The Pro: Former Udm Professor Kevin Olmstead

Almost five years ago, former University of Detroit Mercy Environmental Engineering Professor Kevin Olmstead, PhD became the winningest contestant in television game show history.

Olmstead correctly answered his 15th and final question on ABC's popular "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" program. He went home with a record-breaking payout of $2.18 million. Go to Kevin Olmstead at: (http://abc.go.com/primetime/millionaire/showhighlights/players.html)

This Friday, October 21 from 10 am-noon, the three-time "Jeopardy" champion will return to UDM for his yearly "game show hosting gig" for the University's own version of "Jeopardy." The game is part of UDM's College of Engineering and Science's Technology Discovery Day.

The purpose of Technology Discovery Day is to show over 200 high school students from 22 schools what engineering and science is all about and the importance of education in their final high school years.

Other events include a chemistry magic show, screaming contest, the catapult, the egg drop and the toothpick bridge. All events will take place in Calihan Hall, the Engineering and Science Building and the Chemistry building.
