Event
Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival
Saturday, April 16, 2011
Ford Life Sciences Building, Room 113, 2:00pm-10:30pm EDT
Sponsored by The Honors Program at UDM, the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival will feature several films, including "The Water Front" a local story about Highland Park's struggle to keep its public water system, "Bag It" a humorous examination of the effect plastic has on our planet, and "Truck Farm" a musical documentary about an urban farmer who plants a garden in the back of his pickup. The festival is a great way to learn about our environment and connect with the community while watching some great films.
There will be two showings, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and representatives of several environmental organizations from the Detroit metro area will be present to tell film-goers how they can make a difference. For the complete film lineup, see: http://www.facebook.com/WildScenicFilmsUDM.
Admission is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Donations will be accepted for local organizations.
