International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
The dates for IEW 2010 are November 15th - 19th. At UDM, we will hold our annual Study Abroad Fair and International Friendship Luncheon on Thursday, November 18, 2010, from 11:30-1:30. UDM's offices of International Services and the Language & Cultural Training Department, as well as Sodexho, host the luncheon, which will move inside the Ballroom from the TDR for this event; lunch will be covered under staff/students meal plans (all discounts apply). For those who do not have meal plans, lunch will be $6.75. Cultural Ambassadors include students from UDM's Chinese Students Association, Muslim Student Organization, and UDM's Student Senate.
