Finding Opportunities to Serve in the Community
Here are some options for finding places you can serve according to your gifts and needs!
Try LDI's own "Community Partners" who work with LDI
- First: Look for "Direct Service" opportunities with our Community Partners - agencies who know UDM, LDI, and Service-Learning.
- Then: Contact persons in those agencies with whom we communicate. These folks coordinate volunteers like you.
Some great search engines are available on the web for matching volunteers:
www.volunteersolutions.org/uwcs/volunteer/ allows you to set up a profile for yourself (or for your class, faculty) and even get e-mail updates!
www.volunteermatch.org is a great public site for finding a site by type of service and location.
