Fourteen acts competed in UDM's Ultimate Talent Showcase, April 12, as part pf the Presidential Inauguration Week events. After performances entertained the crowd for nearly three hours, the winners were named:
- First Place - $500:
Kezia Matthews, singer/writer, performing Carrie Underwood's "Good Girl" - Second Place - $300:
Garrett Gooch, singer - Third Place - $150:
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., performing a dance routine
Judging the students acts:
David Regal, UDM Performing Arts Professor- Alvin Ford, UDM Student Senate President
- Cordell Walton, Music Producer
Hot 107.5 D.J. Paigon emceed the show with comedian Horace B. Sanders. The event was sponsored by the UDM Student Programming Board.
