Shared Governance Proposals

Proposal Submission Process

The McNichols Faculty Assembly (MFA) officers and the Vice President for Academic Affairs meet on a regular basis to route proposals to the appropriate committees, teams, and other groups not in the shared governance structure.  The agreed to process for proposal submission is as follows:

  • Submit proposals to the Academic Affairs Office by emailing to academicaffairs@udmercy.edu and simultaneously to the MFA at mfa@udmercy.edu.
  • The MFA officers and Academic Affairs Office will act as a clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse members will determine jointly which committee, team, or other group should receive each proposal, and forward it to that group.
