New UDM Michigan Scholars Endowment Fund to help Michigan students attend college
“Throughout its 135-year history, University of Detroit Mercy’s mission has always focused on students making a difference in their communities and our world,” said UDM President Antoine M. Garibaldi, Ph.D. “With the support of The Stange Charitable Trust, we will be able to keep more of our highly talented students in Michigan and have them obtain their bachelor’s degree from UDM.”
When the challenge has concluded, at least $3 million will have been raised to provide significant scholarship support for highly talented Michigan students. The challenge solicitation period began July 1, 2012 and will conclude on December 31, 2014. University of Detroit Mercy’s focus on raising funds for scholarships and endowment gifts such as the Michigan Scholars Endowment Fund will be significant components of its upcoming comprehensive campaign.
