Leaf:

Leaves of rich glossy purple all summer.

Flower:

Starts flowering in first or second season after planting.  Flowers in early spring as leaves unfurl; crimson, scented blossoms, 1" accross.

Fruit:

Fruit are 1/2" red, edible.

Light:

Full sun.

Uses:

Specimen, group planting, roadside tree.
