A day of service: photo gallery
In honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, 70 UDM students served in the neighborhoods around the University, Jan. 21. Service sites included the Neighborhood Services Organization's Bell Building site, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and Maggie Lee's Community Center. The Jan. 21 day of service was arranged by UDM's Institute for Leadership and Service, in cooperation with the Student Affairs Office and University Ministry. Student leaders from the Emerging Leaders Program also helped to organize the event.

TV talk: The future of higher education in Michigan
UDM President Antoine M. Garibaldi appeared March 3 with two other Michigan university presidents on WXYZ-TV's Spotlight on the News program, to discuss the future of higher education in the state. You can watch the full show on the president's media page.
Discounted course sections for summer 2013
The University will offer several undergraduate courses this summer at a discount of at least 60 percent off the standard tuition per credit hour. It's a good opportunity to take a course during the summer to catch up, make up or get ahead toward the completion of a degree at UDM. Find out more on the Summer 2013 discounted sections page.
Recycling rules reminder
As UDM strives to be more environmentally responsible, please do your part by following the rules of the recycling efforts taking place on campus. To reacquaint yourself with the restrictions on using the recycling dumpsters near the residence halls, please see the Recycling page. Thank you!

Detroit Titans basketball
The Detroit Titans men's basketball team, the #2 seed in the Horizon League Championship tournament, will play in the league semifinals Saturday, March 9 in Valparaiso, Ind. A fan bus will leave for Valparaiso on noon of game day. See DetroitTitans.com for details.
Back here in Calihan Hall, the Titans women's basketball team will play their final regular season home game against Youngstown State on Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. Come for the game and Fan Appreciation Night! Titans apparel will be given out to lucky fans throughout the evening.

1985 Tower
Yearbook archive updated to 1985
The UDM Libraries/Instructional Design Studio has released the 1984 and 1985 Tower yearbooks into the digital archives. Additional yearbooks will be added every two months until the online collection is complete and up to date. Associate Professor of Psychology Barry Dauphin wrote the article, "Therapists' resistance to understanding the importance of technology for child and adolescent psychotherapy," which was recently published in the Journal of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
