Athletics introduces new services for fans

UDM Athletics has introduced some new services you may wish to take advantage of.  The Detroit Titans online photo gallery now lets you order prints of your favorite pictures.  For fans of Titan men's basketball, a faster and less expensive way to park for games is Titan Express Lane, which gives a discount on prepaid parking, plus a special express entrance to campus on game days.  Hosted birthday parties for children are now available at games, and there's an expanded selection of Titan gear on the new online merchandise store, DetroitLockerRoom.com.

Law School hosts Christmas party for hundreds at Detroit elementary school

Volunteers from the UDM School of Law used donations to put on a holiday party for 100 students, 100 parents and the entire staff of Wayne Elementary School in Detroit, Dec. 15.  Law students dressed as Santa and a helper gave gifts, books, hats, gloves and school supplies to all the Wayne students, and each family was given bags of food and toiletry supplies.  The effort was organized by the School of Law's Community Service Committee with donations from School contractors and the Law community.

Student-produced video thanks donors

A video was recently created at UDM thanking donors for their support for the University.  The video (directed, produced and edited by sophomore Ally Schmidt) features Tommy Titan, students and employees around UDM thanking donors for some of the things their giving has made possible.  Check out the video on YouTube, and share it with any donors you may know.

Alumni boards adopt family for Christmas

In cooperation with the Mercy Education Project (MEP), the Engineering & Science Alumni Board and the Architecture Alumni Board teamed up to "adopt" a family of nine, providing family members with gifts this Christmas.  Participants wrapped their donated presents at UDM the night of Dec. 8, and on Dec. 9, another alumnus, Rene Saenz '75, used his "Two Men & a Truck" franchise to deliver the gifts to MEP for distribution.

In the Engineering Building, Dec. 8, participants wrap gifts for the Mercy Education Project's Adopt-A-Family program.
