People at Safety Street
UDM faculty, staff and students successfully hosted another night of fun this year at “Safety Street,” creating a safe Halloween event. On Oct. 29, neighborhood children and parents eagerly walked onto UDM’s campus in costume to go trick-or-treating. Various student organizations and clubs built fun façades and passed out pounds of candy to give the children a very Happy Halloween!  See the photo gallery.

Fr. Gilbert Sunghera speaks on sacred space

Assistant Professor of Architecture Gilbert Sunghera, S.J., will give the presentation, "Sacred space for the modern mind," Wednesday, Nov. 10 at noon in the McNichols Library, Room 324.  The talk, hosted by UDM's Office of Academic Affairs as this month's "Second Wednesday" event, will focus on how architecture addresses the way the modern mind frames an encounter with the sacred.  For more information, see the event page.
