Customer service survey open to UDM community
As a part of a customer service initiative, the UDM Human Resources Department and the Staff & Administrator Development Team have created a survey which focuses on the quality of interaction among stakeholders of the University, including faculty and staff. The online survey is available until Friday, Oct. 22. After the data is gathered, open information sessions will be conducted to share the results with the campus community. Make your input count by logging online and taking the survey!
Second Wednesday presentation on Emerging Leaders program
Faculty and staff are encouraged to save the date for the October "Second Wednesday" event, on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at noon on the topic of the Emerging Leaders program run by UDM's Institute for Leadership and Service. The event is scheduled to take place in the McNichols Campus Library conference room (but is subject to relocation). DPS provides safety report
The UDM Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced the availability of the 2010 Annual Security & Fire Safety Report, in accordance with federal regulations. The report is meant to communicate with the UDM community about campus security and fire safety policies, statistical data, prevention measures and other safety information. A copy of the report can be obtained from the DPS web site.
Theatre Company kicks off their 40th season with Keely and Du
The UDM Theatre Company's 40th season is now under way with Keely and Du. The next performances will take place Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 7-9 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. at Marygrove Theater, at 8425 W. McNichols Rd in Detroit. Tickets can be purchased before the show online. Admission is $18 for adults and $9 for students. For further details, visit the UDM theater site.
UDM featured in the news for recent symposium
The Sept. 30 "Designing Sustainable Detroit" Symposium at UDM was featured in the recent Detroit Free Press article, "Transportation ideas get closer look at meeting." Detroit Mayor Dave Bing was one of the officials in attendance to discuss how Detroit transportation initiatives promise to bring economic development, job creation and improved livability to the city.

Have your students participate in UDM's social media experience
Encourage your students to participate in UDM's newly popular social media experience. Students can enter to win an iPod Shuffle by uploading a YouTube video about their experiences at the University. Submissions must be uploaded to the UDM Pulse web site by Friday, Oct. 22. The Marketing & Public Affairs Department will feature the best videos on the Pulse homepage and the UDM YouTube channel.
