Volunteers needed for Celebrate Spirit!
Volunteers are needed for this year's Celebrate Spirit! event, which will take place Thursday, Sept. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., starting in Calihan Hall. Help is needed for set-up, decorating, liturgy and the chorus. If interested, see the Celebrate Spirit! volunteer page.
Even if you can't volunteer, all faculty, students, staff and administrators should plan on attending Celebrate Spirit! The theme this year is "Care for Creation," and class schedules on the McNichols Campus will be changed for the day to allow individuals to attend. See the Celebrate Spirit! site for details on the event, which includes a service, a picnic and the Student Organization fair.

UDM to help veterans with Yellow Ribbon program
University of Detroit Mercy is proudly participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. This unique benefit allows dollar-for-dollar matching agreements with the federal government to pay veterans' educational costs above those covered by the base GI Bill benefit.
If you know of a veteran who could benefit from this program, refer him or her to the UDM Registrar's Office. For more information, see the UDM news release.
