Emergency alert system update
During UDM's recent testing of the new emergency alert system, cell phones and text messaging devices showed the best results in receiving messages. It is therefore recommended that everyone in the UDM community register these devices as directed on the UDM Alert System page.
The system also sends alerts to pagers and e-mail accounts, which should be registered as well. UDM continues to work with Wayne County to develop and test the alert system. For details on recent tests and project activity, see the update web page.
