Freeway project may impact Corktown Campus
The School of Dentistry's new Corktown Campus may be affected this summer by a Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) freeway contruction project. The MDOT I-75 Ambassador Bridge Gateway Project, which begins this month and will last until December 2009, is a major redevelopment that will connect Detroit-area freeways to the Ambassador Bridge.
The I-75 and I-96 freeways south of I-94 will be affected, including the stretch of I-96 that passes the Corktown Campus. The impact on the Corktown Campus will be greatest beginning in July. As that time approaches, UDM will help provide alternative driving suggestions. For more information on the Ambassador Bridge Gateway Project, see the MDOT web site.
