In which situation does affluent, high school senior Jamie, who bombed her first attempt at the SAT as a result of academic apathy become enlightened by a unsympathetic tutor named Clark resulting in an unusual pact between two unlikely partners in crime?
Tickets are $20 for general adult admission and $10 for students. There is a discounted adult admission of $17 for seniors, UDM and Marygrove faculty and staff, alumni, donors and Detroit residents. The Theatre Company's box office is located in Reno Hall on the University of Detroit Mercy campus. Hours of operation are 12 noon to 5 pm, Tuesday through Friday. The box office will move on the day of the performance to the Marygrove Theatre and will open 45 minutes prior to curtain. Jacques Ferrier and Pauline Marchetti of Sensual City Studio - Paris, France will present recent design projects impacted by their exploration of fringe urban settings. Free and open to the public.
SCS* Sensual City Studio, founded by Jacques Ferrier and Pauline Marchetti, in association with the philosopher Philippe Simay, is a laboratory of ideas, creation and urban foresight. It brings together a network of professionals from the worlds of art, architecture and urban planning, as well as the social sciences. With working at different levels, from design to urban planning, the studio analyses changes in architecture and large modern cities in order to predict the effect that they will have. Sensual City Studio seeks to develop a sensitive, humanist approach to the city, combining sustainable development and new technologies in a quest for innovation and urban delight.
Pauline Marchetti is a state-registered (DPLG) architect. From 2008 to 2010, she was team leader for the French Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, from the construction of the building through to its scenography. In 2010, she associated with
Jacques Ferrier to create Sensual City Studio, a new structure allowing them to jointly develop and assert the Sensual City concept. She is the CEO and partner of Sensual City studio. Jacques Ferrier works in France and abroad. He created his own studio in 1990 in Paris and his works now include the design of major cultural buildings, prestigious buildings, public facilities, research centers and urban development. JFA's output is all based on the same philosophy: the creation of architecture and a city for a sustainable society.
